Experience Design Intern

Ripple Effect, an evolution of Battlefield's DICE LA, is a Los Angeles-based game studio on a mission to build community-first experiences through continuous innovation and boundary breaking technology.

We are looking for a UX Design intern like you to join us in our mission to create amazing games and experiences, and to improve ourselves and our craft. You will report to our Studio Design Line Director. We are considering on-site and hybrid working options, and welcome full-time remote candidates who are within the US to apply.

Responsibilities
• Work with, and take direction from UX designers to understand goals for UX features on a large project
• Create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups to conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors, while considering the audience and the target software environment (PC, console, web)
• Build rapid prototypes, iterating based on feedback from UX designers, the team, and users

Qualifications
• Enrolled in a bachelors or masters for UX Design or Human Computer Interaction, graduating 2024 or 2025
• Must be authorized to work within the United States.
• Must have a portfolio of UX work for us to review, including wireframes and prototypes
• Experience with user experience design tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe XD, Axure, or Omnigraffle)
• Understand the importance of respectful communication
• Passion for user-centered design, and a fascination with understanding how users experience a product
• Enthusiasm for playing or watching video games
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US on a fulltime basis during the 12-week internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The hourly pay ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the hourly pay range for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

HOURLY PAY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $16 - $18

The hourly rate is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.
