Software Engineer Summer Intern - College FootballEA SPORTS ignited the passion of college football for millions of fans by recreating the unparalleled pageantry of college football with EA SPORTS NCAA Football, which was a consistent top five sports title in North America. In recent years, college football has become one of the most highly-requested games from their players. Now, they're excited to be bringing back the glory of college football for millions of college sports fans with EA SPORTS College Football. And with this highly-anticipated title under development, EA SPORTS is looking for a diverse range of talent, who are passionate about what they do, to help bring the game
As a Software Engineer Intern on the Online Team, you will participate in building networked gameplay experiences for our College Football franchise. We are looking for engineers who enjoy prototyping and planning, adding amazing new features to an existing and beloved game, and improving existing code.
This is a 3-month paid internship position.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborates with design to provide feedback and then creates clear and estimable technical designs.
• Delivers tested and high-quality technical implementations that meet design requirements.
• Awareness of how implementation impacts performance and memory budgets.
• Actively looks for ways to increase team efficiency through tooling or workflow enhancements.
• Contributes to core EA technologies in an architecturally sound way to enable collaborative development efforts.
Requirements:
• You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program and are slated to graduate in December 2023 to July 2024
• You have proficient understanding of C++ language, best practices, and architectural considerations.
• You have understanding of project tools (e.g. JIRA) and an SCM system (e.g. Perforce, GitHub).
• You work well with high-level technical guidance and quickly adapts to changing code bases and problems.
• You can demonstrate problem solving and debugging skills.
• You can demonstrate flexibility and ability to quickly ramp up on existing code bases.
• You have passion for the craft of programming and demonstrable development experience.
