purpose; all of our development disciplines contribute towards creating an incredible gameplay experience for our players.
Respawn is looking for a Technical Artist Intern who is excited to further their development in a production setting. We are only considering students who will be enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program in the summer of 2020, slated to graduate in Fall of 2021 or Spring of 2022.

PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENTS...

It is required that you submit a portfolio/presentation of your work with your application. You may do so by providing a link to an online presentation, or attaching documents to your resume. Please apply with as many examples of the following:
• Tools and pipeline work. Provide scripts and/or code samples.
• Exhibit how you took a problem, went about solving it, and show the result as part of a video capture or a series of
screenshots. Include any relevant code.

WHAT YOU'LL DO...
• Develop game features or tools for cross-platform games.
• Operate and deliver in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while meeting high-quality standards.
• Follow best practices to maximize game performance across multiples devices and platforms.
• Partner with art and design to create delightful player experiences and engaging game mechanics.
• Collaborate with fellow developers to create systems, core technology, and tools.
• Write C/C++ code, with a deep knowledge of gameplay.
• Work closely with designers, artists, and animators to design systems and make something great.
• Proactively identify and deal with issues.

IDEALLY, YOU'LL HAVE...
• Understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• A passion for gaming technology and creating great player experience.
• Experience with a major game engine.
• Familiarity with some of the following: C++, Python, C#.
• Passion for making and playing games.
• Interest in all parts of the code base, and making really solid game play. Experience with multi-threaded programming.
• Experience with large code bases and you can work on code that you didn't write. Experience optimizing code and data
to improve both memory consumption and execution speed.
