The Pathfinders program is a 12-week summer internship designed for underrepresented first and second-year college students interested in software engineering or tech-related disciplines. This program offers students the ability to explore career opportunities and gain insight into the Gaming industry. Students work on impactful projects alongside industry veterans, to gain hands-on experience and develop leadership skills.

The Pathfinders program incorporates structured learnings and provides you with the tools to be successful during your time at EA. Each Pathfinder intern will have peer and professional mentorship, participate in networking activities, and engage with senior leaders. We particularly encourage applications from students who are historically underrepresented in this field.

Our team, the Employee Experience Engineering group is a new central technology team that is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining application and data services as well as enterprise mobile applications that support all employees throughout EA. Our goal is to produce high quality, reusable, services and web and mobile solutions that help each and every EA employee do their job and contribute to the goal of EA making the world's greatest games.

What will you be doing?

As a Software Engineering Pathfinder, your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the development of web applications and/or microservices that power and integrate our worker knowledge, collaboration, and productivity solutions. Working closely with your team lead and solution architect, you will scope and estimate future work, create and contribute to the codebase, fix bugs, and review others' code.

Requirements:
• Currently completing your Freshman or Sophomore year of your Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering
• Experience programming in an OO language
• Experience with JavaScript

Bonus Experience Points:
• Front-End Technologies such as HTML and CSS
• Interest in DevOps
