The Challenge Ahead:
Our amazing Codemasters Southam studios are looking for a new member of the team to join us in our Engine team on this wonderful journey and be a part of the next generation of programming talent as a Software Engineer Intern. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a huge racing game, within our studios set right in the heart of the UK.

Engine Group is a multi-discipline team of programmers responsible for the Engine, Core Tech and DevOps for the development team. We bring together Graphics, Audio, Physics, Tools and Systems programming specialists to create the technologies that drive our games, be that loading a level as quickly as possible or creating new render technologies, and we are the first in for new platforms. We are looking for someone with a passion for understanding and building the foundations of our game. With the support of the team, they won't be afraid to go deeper and get technical in understanding a problem or creating a solution, to help our games be the best they can be.

We are growing our team with accomplished people who will help us take a huge leap forward, and you, the next generation of game makers, are central to this ambition. As we explore new possibilities within gaming, challenge our own beliefs and step outside of our comfort zone, we need fresh perspective that challenges convention and inspires us to grow.

Qualifications
• You are studying in the penultimate year of an undergraduate degree
• Available to commence a full-time, 12-month placement in July 2023.
• Eligible to work in Southam, UK, without the need for visa/relocation support

Desired Skills
• You are studying a Computer Science/Video Game Development-related course
• Fundamentals of C++
• Passion, interest and knowledge of the video gaming and entertainment industry
• Communicative and collaborative and eager to learn
• Creative mindset
