Product Manager Intern (Summer 2023)Electronic Arts is looking for high performing students to join our world-class internship experience. Responsibilities:
You will create product line vision, goals and roadmap based on solving customer's biggest problems
• Uncover underlying customer needs by understanding end-user perspectives and pain points (focusing on the 'why')
• Collaborate with partners to define goals that bring cohesive end-to-end experiences
• Determine product roadmap that aligns with EA's complex product ecosystem, considering industry trends, vendor marketspace, and organizational priorities
You will determine what capabilities and delivery approach will have the biggest return on investment
• Define and document customer journey, process maps, and detailed user stories/requirements
• Partner with engineering, user experience, and external vendors to assess build vs. buy options, focused on delivering simple and scalable solutions with a reasonable time to value
• Communicate trade-offs and fit gap analysis to guide product decisions and set partner expectations
You will manage delivery cycle to take idea from concept to implementation
• Refine requirements based on prototyping, hands on testing, and iterative feedback, acting as a bridge between customer desires and technical realities
• Guide product release including feature development, integrations, data migration, cutover from legacy applications, and stabilization/support
• Proactively manage sprint plans, issues, and decisions, anticipating risk and ensuring focus stays on maximizing value within timeline and resource constraints
You will manage change and improve product to adapt to changing customer needs
• Facilitate collaboration with partner groups on process, people and policy changes to enhance product changes
• Build awareness, excitement and knowledge of new features through communication and training material creation and facilitation of training sessions
• Solicit feedback and analyze data to constantly evolve product and approach
Major Functions & Related Activities:
• Deliver tailored and insightful title and marketing channel diagnostics
• Ensure business action by providing timely and accurate reporting
• Align cross functional P&L partners on specific funding proposals (Lifetime Value, Return on Investment)
• Partner with leadership to set and manage budgets across all projects & titles
• Provide decision support to leadership on investment and project decisions
• Guide regular financial visibility with regards to Outlook, Risk & Opportunities
• Lead ad-hoc projects to guide overall performance
• Improve internal finance workflows to improve partnerships with partners
• Anticipate risks and partner with the business leadership to identify trade-offs to de-risk and maintain financial goals
• Balance priorities, and find creative solutions that achieve results
Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Bachelors or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, or a related field and graduate after summer 2023
• Demonstrate a strong sense of data-forward decision making
• Demonstrate exceptional written deliverables (presentations, requirement documentation, emails, etc.) for core team, stakeholders and executives
