Overview

The Pathfinders program is a 12-week summer internship designed for underrepresented first and second-year college students interested in software engineering or tech-related disciplines. This program offers students the ability to explore career opportunities and gain insight into the Gaming industry. Students work on impactful projects alongside industry veterans, to gain hands-on experience and develop leadership skills.

The Pathfinders program incorporates structured learnings and provides you with the tools to be successful during your time at EA. Each Pathfinder intern will have peer and professional mentorship, participate in networking activities, and engage with senior leaders. We particularly encourage applications from students who are historically underrepresented in this field.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Infrastructure Optimization Intern for our PI&E team.

As an Infrastructure Optimization Intern in EA's PI&E Team, you will work on a hybrid of Procurement, Vendor Management and Business analytics:
Our mission is to optimize asset utilization and reduce the cost of operating platforms that support EA's awesome games.
• Provide infrastructure for EA's online game titles while optimizing cost through efficient use of assets and infrastructure optimization.
• Provide insight into capacity planning based on existing and future capacity requirements.

During the course of the program you will have an opportunity to assist with the following:
• You will assist the Infrastructure Optimization team with projects and objectives related to continuous improvement of processes, automation, procedures, reporting and compliance across our groups.
• You will support automation projects for computer equipment processes ensuring information is up-to-date, accurate, and auditable.
• You will partner with finance, procurement, business analytics, cost management, and project management teams to support automation of our existing data, reporting into a more robust environment.
• You will work with Procurement Manager to manage and track projects related to documentation and reporting.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Freshman or Sophomore working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/STEM or a similar field of study.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Excels at both written and oral presentations to technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Power BI is a plus)
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Advance level of MS Excel, proficiency with Microsoft applications
• Knowledge of Google applications
• Experience working with Infrastructure cost and usage, including Cloud Financial Management (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus
• A desire to learn, grow, and work independently
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a fulltime basis. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with Procurement/Vendor Management Teams to organize and prioritize contract repository automation project
• Develop an understanding of the key product metrics from inception to post-event analysis in order to clearly identify strengths and weaknesses.
• Engage in research and discovery of growth areas that will lead to insights on automate reports across Infrastructure Optimization team (Documentation, reporting, dashboards)
• Build trust and effective relationships with peers / cross-functional teams

This role requires working closely with the PI&E Infrastructure Optimization team (Vendor Management/Procurement, Cost Management, Cost Optimization, Data Analytics), Finance and Project Management teams

US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor's, Master's, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

HOURLY PAY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $18 - $29
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $18 - $23
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $20 - $29
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $18 - $23
• Jersey City, NJ :
º $20 - $29

The hourly pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k). Interns in California are also eligible for Voluntary Disability Insurance.'
