What you'll do on our team:

As a Data Analyst working within the UFC Mobile team, you'll analyze data to improve the gaming experience for UFC Mobile players. We will help the designers of the game understand the impacts of their designs and construct an insightful narrative depicting the player experience. We are looking for individuals who are excited to let their curiosity take the lead and dive into the data to uncover insights which reveal how players are engaging with our game. Your work will help guide game design to improve acquisition, engagement, and retention in UFC Mobile.

Examples of projects you may work on include:
• Implement A/B tests
• Behavioral player segmentation or cluster analysis to help us understand our playership
• Create measurement plans to establish the success of new features or game modes regarding goals
• Enhance existing game telemetry to ensure we have all the data needed to answer questions
• Identify areas of opportunity for new features and projecting their potential benefits
• And much more

What a Data Analyst will do at EA:
• Translate data into relevant recommendations which will result in the most positive impact to the game
• Help our design and product partners make informed decisions about in-game content and features
• Shape the team's understanding of the player experience by creating a clear narrative from your insights
• Model trends in our data to predict the ways in which new game features will improve our performance
• Explain statistical concepts and applications to non-statistical users in easy to understand language
• Receive questions from our partners and determine the best ways that our data can help answer them
• Pursuing a BA/BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics or a related field
• Excellent SQL querying skills
• Proficient at analyzing large datasets in a spreadsheet program (e.g. Excel, Sheets) or in a programmatic analysis tool (e.g. Python, R)
• Work experience in an analytics role using data to help guide decisions
• Experience in data mining, machine learning, or statistical modeling
• Knowledge of statistics (e.g. multivariate regression, clustering, predictive modeling)
• Experience with data visualization applications (e.g. Tableau, R Shiny, Looker)
• Experience in a consumer products-oriented industry (e.g. gaming, entertainment, e-commerce)
• Passion for games or sports
