Join us for an opportunity to be a part of Disney Television Animation (DTVA). DTVA is an industry leader in the creation of animated television products for preschoolers, kids, and tweens. The studio brings programming and production expertise together under the same leadership as Disney Channels Worldwide.

DTVA's Development Production department provides production support and management for the creative vision of potential animated series and short form programming for Disney Channel, Disney Jr. and Disney + by working with the creative executive team and show creators (both internal and external talent) on project ideas as they move from concept to pilot.

Responsibilities:

A Day in the Life…
The Development Production team seeks a self-motivated and engaging candidate who is organized, eager to learn more about the business and production pipeline of animation, embraces innovation, and has a strong desire to learn and grow in a busy and friendly environment.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Assisting the Production Coordinators in setting up meeting rooms, organizing assets, and taking notes
• Creating and organizing a database for all vendor studios in consideration for future productions
• Helping to coordinate team building events and department resources
• Shadowing Producers and Production Manager in all relevant meetings on development projects
• Learning the basics of the animation production pipeline

Basic Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills in both email and in-person (or virtual) meetings
• Proficient in multitasking, time management, organization, and talent relations
• Comprehensive note taking with excellent critical thinking and analytical writing skills
• An outgoing and proactive attitude

Preferred Qualifications:
• Understanding of, and passion for, animation production
• Prior (external to school) internship within media/entertainment
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and One Drive)
• Skills in Adobe Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop, and Illustrator), Final Draft, and Storyboard Pro

Required Education
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last eighteen (18) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program

Preferred Education
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Additional Information:
• This internship is both a remote and in-person internship.
• The internship requires a working, reliable internet connection, as well as a quiet and dedicated work space, but must be willing to commute to the television studio building (as necessary).
• Candidate must be able to provide their own housing and transportation to and from Glendale, CA for the duration of the internship.
• The approximate dates of this internship September through December/January.
• Candidate must be available to work part time hours (approximately 24 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
