Job Description

The Team

The Core News team is revolutionizing the Breaking News / Live Story experience. The design team is responsible for discovery and mapping out a user's journey during a breaking news cycle, and designing an experience to meet expectations and delight our users.

The Daily:
• Attend daily/weekly product development Scrum ceremonies
• Collaborate on user journeys and high fidelity designs for web and native mobile
• Work with engineers to provide design requirements
• Collaborate with design and product on UX design priorities
• Collaborate with research team on research and testing

The Essentials
• A portfolio demonstrating a creative spark and love of design
• An understanding of user needs and the product designer's role of crafting experiences to meet those needs
• Basic proficiency and experience in design software such as Figma or Sketch
• Portfolio pieces that demonstrate a curiosity for solving problems

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6th-August 12th; (additional time frames are available for students in a university quarter system) must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week)
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program.
