The Team
• CNN Intern for the Offplatform and New Audiences team
• The intern will work with the social publishing arm for CNN Digital in addition to collaborating with other parts of CNN Editorial, from the Breaking News team, Social, verticals to global news gathering.
• Program articles/content on TikTok.

The Daily:
• • Assist with maintaining the TikTok calendar.
• Program content on TikTok
• Work with CNN editors and content producers to develop additional content for the channel.
• Keep up with metrics and interact with Audience Development to make sure we are bringing the best of CNN to the world.
• Interact with internal and external peers and managers to share and receive feedback on key initiatives.

The Essentials
• • Knowledge of the TikTok platform and its trends and , ideally, first-hand experience creating successful content for TikTok.
• Video editing skills
• Writing, editing and content production skills
• Experience creating video and/or programming a social media platform a plus.
• Must be detail-oriented
• Must demonstrate the following: Teamwork, industriousness, desire to learn, and creativity.
• Typically, some journalism experience. School newspapers count! Class papers not so much.
• A strong understanding of news.
• A strong understanding of storytelling.

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6th-August 12th; (additional time frames are available for students in a university quarter system) must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week)
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program.
