The Job
This role will be a part of a team that focuses on supporting CNN's Advertising Sales initiatives and will work with other Analysts, Manager, and team Director.
The Daily
• Assist the team with ad hoc sales requests, to support CNN's revenue goals
• Assist the team with deep dive investigations into new data sources
• Assist the team with regular reporting needs, for CNN and competitive networks
• Develop an understanding of the media landscape, sales research, and marketing
The Essentials
• Candidates should be passionate about news, sales, marketing and data analytics.
• Intermediate Excel skills strongly preferred:
• Knowledge in/experience with PivotTables and essential Excel analysis formulas (including IF, VLOOKUP, COUNT, SUMIF) to increase interactivity and automating of spreadsheets.
• Understanding of Excel formatting including conditional cell & number formatting.
• Experience in effectively & clearly presenting analytical findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Independent self-starter with the ability to master new software (some one-on-one training on Nielsen software will be provided by supervisor/team).
• Curiosity to explore data, driven to understand the ''why'', and a passion to draw connections.
• Solid math skills and must be comfortable with numbers and data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Fall 2022 program dates are October 3rd – December 9th; must be available for full program duration
• Part-time schedule (16-24 hours/week) required
• Company-issued computer or secured remote access provided for the duration of the internship program.
