Audience Analytics Internship, BET - Summer 2023 (Hybrid or Remote)

Important notes:
• The team's summer format will be either fully remote or hybrid, working onsite 2 days a week.
• We do not cover the cost of housing or transportation.
• Internships are paid at a standard competitive hourly rate, so proper work authorization is needed to be employed within the United States. The pay rate for this role is $20/hr.
• The program starts in June and runs for 10 weeks.
• Interns must be available to work full time (5 days) per week (no weekends). Normal business hours.
• You must be a rising junior, senior or master's student to be eligible (December 2023-May 2025 grads).
• College credit is optional, not required. We will provide appropriate documentation if necessary.

Department Overview:

The team provides valuable audience insights regarding program scheduling and acquisition strategy to ensure that our slate of linear content is optimized for the benefit of our viewers. We also prepare competitive research and market insights around potential brand partnerships, monitoring existing campaigns and assisting Ad Sales as they scope out new business.

Responsibilities:
• The intern will support two functional sides of the Audience Analytics team: Programming Research & Ad Sales Research. the works consists of ad hoc requests and projects in support of multiple departments.
• The intern's workload will be assisting with projects (either through data pulls or third-party research across linear, digital, and/or social platforms).
• With the BET Awards in June, the intern can expect to be involved in the post-analysis and positioning research that will come after.
• The intern will assist with Overnight Ratings Analyses, Category Updates, & Program Trackers.
• The intern will develop an original piece of research around a topic of interest that also provides valuable business-related insights for the BET brand.

Qualifications:
• Experience with Excel (familiarity with Pivot Tables and formulas) is a must
• Experience with PowerPoint (data visualization) is a must
• Experience with social media is a plus

Hiring Salary Range: $20.0.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
