Job Description
Bally Sports Marketing department has an incredible opportunity for a person pursuing a career in sports media or broadcasting. We are seeking a creative and interested, self-starter who is ready for a challenge.

In this role, the Marketing Intern will have the opportunity to work within the marketing department and learn the inner workings of a live sports network. There will be exposure to editing projects, collaboration with various departments within the organization and supporting the overall implementation of a marketing plan.

Goals of Internship:

The goal of the Marketing Internship is to learn how a regional sports network operates and how the marketing department supports on and off-air initiatives. The internship will also include learning about activation details with our sports team partners including Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers, Miami Marlins and Tampa Bay Rays.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participate in brainstorm sessions and marketing meetings
• Support editing projects including team vs. team promotions and other videos
• Assist and support initiatives for social media team and content creation
• Assist an learn about various off-air initiatives with team sports partners

3. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS (education, years of experience, softwares/platforms, skill set, physical requirements i.e. must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally)
• Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects at once
• Excellent time management skills and organization
• Reliable and creative with a strong work ethic
• Strong knowledge of Florida sports including NBA, NHL, MLB and NCAA football and basketball
• Motivated self-starter who can work independently, but also enjoys collaboration
• A passion for brand integrity and high attention to detail
• Able to commit approximately up to 15 hours a week
• Typical tools, equipment and materials utilized: computer, telephone, editing software. Some remote work will be required due to COVID protocols.
• Work environment is a hybrid between a quiet professional office environment and remote work from home
• Flexible schedule, must be able to occasionally work varying hours during event times (games, events, special functions, etc.)

4. PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE (''nice to haves'')
• Major in Marketing/Art/Production/Video Editing/Broadcast Media preferred
• Familiarity with business applications (Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and presentation applications such as PowerPoint and/or Keynote
• Familiarity with editing platforms such as AVID (preferred) or Premier Pro. Preferably knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop and other various Adobe Creative Cloud programs.
• Basic understanding of television editing terms, software and formats
• High-level written and verbal communication skills are required, and in particular the ability to communicate around multiple creative projects in a time-sensitive manner.
