Job Description

IMDb TV (part of Amazon Studios) is seeking a bright, analytical, dynamic and self-motivated intern to work hard, have fun and make history with us this summer. IMDb TV/Amazon Studios Internship Program, gives interns hands-on experience working with the team that has acquired award-winning TV shows and movies, including Original TV shows like Alex Rider, as well as premium licensed content like Mad Men, Hunger Games, Twilight, and Divergent. In addition to working closely with executives in our Santa Monica and Culver City offices, interns have the opportunity to participate in guest speaker sessions, networking events and screenings.
The 2021 Content Acquisition Summer Graduate/MBA Intern will be working closely with the Content Acquisition Team at IMDb TV, a deal-making team responsible for acquiring premium and library content that delight our customers. The intern will be reporting directly to the film acquisition lead, but their work scope will span across different segments within content acquisition, including movies and TV. In addition, they will be expected to work closely across key leaders within licensing, strategy, creative development and research to build recommendations which will drive key business decisions. Cross-functionally, we expect the intern to have visibility with Marketing and Finance leaders across Amazon. The intern should be detail-oriented and a self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. We prefer previous work experience in investment banking, equity research, consulting, or analytical media roles.
Our summer MBA internship class will take place from June through August 2021. Internships are paid opportunities. Credit is not required, however we will provide documentation if necessary. An Amazon Studios team member will contact you should your experiences and interests match an open internship position.
