Job Description

The Amazon Studios internship program gives interns hands-on experience working with the studio behind award-winning shows such as The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Transparent, Man in the High Castle and Fleabag.

We are seeking an operations strategy intern to be part of the Production & Post Production Strategy and Planning team, embedded in the WW Production & Ops department. The ideal intern can work cross-functionally across multiple teams (e.g., production, post production, localization, mastering, legal, marketing, technology) to document and define initiatives that improve our efficiency. Responsibilities for the summer include (1) Mapping operations and workflows for production and post-production to identify process improvements (2) Documenting Amazon production & post production external guidelines and business requirements (3) Researching economics around studio vendors.

In addition to working closely with executives in our Culver City offices, interns have the opportunity to participate in guest speaker sessions, networking events and screenings. Our summer internship class will take place from June through August 2019. Internships are paid opportunities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products
• 2+ years of professional experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-6 years of work experience, experience in entertainment a plus - Bachelor's degree (MBA or advanced degree in progress)
- Demonstrated passion for the entertainment industry, interest in the future of entertainment and media
- Ability to collect, analyze and present data - Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
- Strong financial acumen and adept at quantitative analysis
- Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Ability to use advanced statistical tools like R, SQL or Tableau (or ability to learn those tools)
