Job Description:

NBC Universal owns and operates a valuable portfolio of news and entertainment networks, a premier motion picture company, significant television production operations, a leading television stations group, and world-renowned theme parks.
Oxygen Media is looking for a dynamic candidate with a wide-ranging and extensive background in Strategic Program Planning with an Ad Sales & Multi-platform focus. This person must help the continued growth of the network and must have experience in program sponsorship planning and multi-platform strategies. The Director Sponsorships and Multi-Platform Scheduling will report to the VP, Strategic Program Planning & Acquisitions.
Act as the Liaison between Program Planning and Ad Sales:
• Supervise the creation & distribution of Ad Sales Grids
• Communicate what is available for sale and show descriptions for ad sales
• Build long term programming grids and developing the Upfront scatter market planning strategy
• Create and execute sales packages for digital, movie studio business and upfront sponsorships
• Track Ad Sales liability issues
• Act as the liaison between Program Planning and the below departments in regards to Ad Sales (digital and broadcast) issues:
• Original Programming & Development (Production & Development)
• Marketing (Ad Sales & Consumer)
• Digital Media
• Work closely with Digital, Marketing & On-Air to create packages for additional revenue
• Work closely with movie studios to create on-air organic movie tie-in stunts, while increasing ratings, driving revenue and maintaining brand integrity.
• Focus on TV 360 including increased focus on grids that maximize sponsorship opportunities with digital components (e.g. wireless, WAP, oxygen.com, interactive broadband.).
• Create and execute sales packages that target Digital and Emerging Media business with creative scheduling and idea generation
• Create strategic ad sales packages for clients that help alleviate Oxygen ad sales liabilities:
• Identify and implement client-specific promotions that use existing programming inventory to reduce existing liabilities
• Locate existing extra programming time on the schedule by identifying movies and acquired series that run short on Oxygen's air. Use the additional time to offer make good spots to the most critical ad sales clients and at the same time gives time back to on-air promos as well
• Work closely with Ad Sales, Traffic and On-Air departments to plan each client's ad pod balancing the interest of clients with the optimal positioning of Oxygen promo spots
• Work closely with Ad Sales, Traffic, and Operations and outside production companies to ensure barter deals are executed correctly

Basic Qualification:
# Bachelors degree
# Minimum 5 years of Program Planning at a TV network with a focus on Ad Sales and Multi-platform scheduling
# Knowledge of the entertainment marketplace
# Research background
# Familiarity with program operations and reality programming/scheduling
