Job Description:
Century City law firm is seeking an experienced paralegal for its music publishing administration division. Responsibilities will include negotiating and drafting synchronization and master use licenses; mechanical licensing; copyright and performing rights societies registrations; sample clearances; income tracking and resolution of songwriter disputes.
Job Requirements
Candidates must have a minimum of two years experience in copyright and publishing administration either at a law firm or a major music publisher. Excellent writing skills, and comprehensive knowledge of music copyright principles and law. Detailed knowledge of worldwide music publishing administration a must. Depending on experience and knowledge, the job may also include negotiating and drafting music producer agreements, live performance releases, music clearance services for film and television productions and musician employment agreements. Due to firm policy, JD's and law students are not eligible for consideration for this position.
