Royalty Analyst-Business Management Firm

Job Description:
This position will be responsible for assisting in all areas of royalties and administration, including licensing, copyright registration, royalty statement analysis and preparation of participation statements.
The following is a list of the major tasks that this position will encompass:
1. Prepare, review and submit for approval artist, producer, artist and profit participation statements.
2. Review of contracts and licenses to ensure that reported royalties are accurate.
3. Participate in desktop audit preparation and analysis.
4. Liaise with Account Managers within the Firm to accomplish shared goals and work on special projects in a professional and diplomatic manner.
5. Field internal and external licensing and royalty inquiries in an accurate and timely manner.
6. Assist with special projects as needed.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
1. 3-5 years of related royalties experience.
2. Solid math skills and the ability to think in an analytical fashion.
3. Experience working with Counterpoint, Excel and Datafaction.
4. Knowledge of the mechanics of the music business.
5. Ability to meet multiple deadlines while maintaining a professional work attitude.
6. Ability to work under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality with respect to agreements and work practices.
This position requires a self-starter and someone who is able to work independently. The royalty tasks will require the flexibility to work overtime as necessary while planning time off so as not to interfere with meeting deadlines.
