Job Description:
Lionsgate is the premier independent producer and distributor of motion pictures, home entertainment, family entertainment, television programming and video-on-demand content.
Lionsgate has an immediate opening for an Employment Lawyer in the Human Resources and Administration Department. This position will be responsible for drafting and revising employment contracts (using a standard template) and communicating with attorneys, employees, and the company's legal department. This position also requires drafting and revising various administrative agreements between outside vendors (such as employment agencies and contractors) and the company. In addition, the candidate should expect to provide advice and guidance, with the help of outside counsel, on employee relations issues, oversee legal projects in the department, and ensure the company’s compliance with state and federal law concerning employment matters.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with at least 1 solid year of similar experience. Must have excellent writing and computer skills, and be extremely detail-oriented. Should possess the ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment as well as be comfortable interacting with all levels of management. Must be familiar with California employment laws.
