FOX Group Legal seeks a dedicated professional to join its Content Protection Department.

In this role, you will draft & negotiate content protection requirements for a wide variety of film, television and new media distribution deals, support and provide content protection advice to our film, television, cable divisions and digital entertainment group, as well as other FOX affiliates, and advise on legislative, regulatory and other content protection policy related matters.

In addition, you will represent FOX on various industry and cross-industry committees and consortia developing and evaluating content protection technologies, negotiating content protection technology licenses and implementing related standards setting initiatives.

Working with FOX colleagues, you will devise and implement methods for protecting FOX’s current film, television and new media content from pre-production through release, help prepare reports for and answer questions from senior management on content protection developments, and prepare and deliver public and private presentations on content protection initiatives and technologies.

Job Requirements

Our successful top-tier law school graduate will also possess California Bar admission (existing or planned), proven negotiation, drafting and analytical skills, and experience with content licensing at a nationally recognized law firm or entertainment company, preferably including internet/technology experience.

In addition, you will have experience and competency as the primary attorney on client matters, excellent oral and written communication and team working skills, basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word. Must be able to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. International and studio experience are a plus. Position requires some travel.
