Job Description:
The Digital Media Technician is responsible for all pre & post processing of encoded materials for VoD clients (mux, concatenate, create AC3, encrypt, file analysis, burn media) as well as file management and transfers for TPN and TED. Will perform low bitrate encodes (quicktime, mpeg 1, wm9) and complete data entry of associated metadata when necessary. Will be responsible for ensuring compliance and adherence to special security handling procedures of elements.
Job Requirements
Candidates for the Digital Media Technician position should possess an extensive knowledge of file based media technology (e.g. encoding, transcoding, muxing, etc.). Must have the ability to conduct research and development in new media software and hardware systems. Candidates must have extensive experience with network and computer systems analysis and troubleshooting along with at least 2-3 years of system administration. Must be available to work a graveyard schedule on the weekends.
