Quality Control Operator

This is a temporary position. The qualified candidate will be responsible for quality control (QC) 100% of the video and audio specifications of all media to ensure that the media meets client standards and specifications.
Identifying and logging any discrepancies; operating analog, digital and high definition (HD) VTRs, waveform monitors and vector scopes
- Video: View television monitor for visual impairments (defects), color/shading deference and program continuity. Identify video levels. Identify / evaluate / scale artifacts, video levels and impairments accordingly
- Audio: Listen to program audio for defects. Identify audio levels. Identify / evaluate / scale artifacts, audio levels and impairments according
Creates detailed reports of quality control testing outcome noting any deficiencies or deviations from specifications in work order
Provides customer service to internal and external customers. Meets customer needs, offers options, resolves problems and follows up with customers. Ensures full customer satisfaction without unnecessarily referring customer to other staff members. Maintains friendly, helpful demeanor.
Stays informed of new developments and technologies by reading journals and other pertinent publications, maintaining contact with vendors, and participating in professional organizations, meetings and seminars
May train other operators on quality assurance techniques through hands-on instruction or demonstration.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The Company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
Job Requirements
The qualified candidate must be able to work all shifts including day, evening, swing, graveyard and weekends.
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience:
1 year technical experience in a post production environment
Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience
Preferred Education:
Associates degree in related field
Preferred Experience:
3 years technical experience in a post production environment
