Legal Assistant - Temporary

Job Description:
This is a temporary position with an open end date.
This role is responsible for managing day-to-day administrative functions, interfacing with a variety of talent representatives, outside counsel and high level executives (both internally and externally), processing development/production above-the-line talent agreements, maintaining/organizing files, drafting correspondence and other minor documents, and screening calls for SVP and VP.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate/distribute/process various draft agreements and agreements (including talent agreements for motion picture projects in development and production, as well as acquisition, marketing and other agreements) for execution & counter-execution
- Maintain the contracts databases
- Regularly update the Legal Affairs status sheet for the department
- Create chain of title summaries and binders, and organize documents for delivery in connection with financing transactions
- Manage execution and distribution of various bond/loan documents for closings
- Manage calendar, schedules and coordinate meetings and conference calls, prepare expense reports, and answer phone lines of SVP and VP
- Scan, file and track documents and high volume of correspondence
- Manage special projects as designated, specifically dealing with legal, administrative and coordination issues.
- Provide general department administrative assistance, including assisting other attorneys/legal consultants and paralegals when needed
- Handle/draft correspondence/minor documents and various other word processing duties, including preparing redlines
- Create, maintain, and organize files
- Interface and manage communications with talent representatives
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years experience as a assistant in legal or business affairs, preferable at a studio supporting senior executives)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deal with deadline pressure
- Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
- Bachelor's degree
